Akuvox video intercoms and access control
Akuvox makes IP video intercoms, indoor monitors, access control and, under its akubela brand, smart home panels. We install them in homes, residential communities and businesses in Valencia, and set them up so you can open the door from your phone, give keyless access and, if you wish, control your home automation from the same screen.
Domotica Valencia installs and configures Akuvox equipment: IP door stations with keypad, card or facial recognition, 2-wire systems that move to IP without rewiring, Android indoor monitors, access control terminals and lift control, the SmartPlus app to answer and open from a phone, and akubela panels with Zigbee for home automation. It works in homes, residential communities, offices and businesses.

IP, 2-wire or cloud app: where each option fits
- New build or refurbishment with network cable: IP stations and monitors powered over the same cable by PoE.
- Building with an old two-wire door entry system: Akuvox’s 2-wire system adds video and IP without chasing walls, with up to 300 metres between devices according to the manufacturer.
- Home with no monitor: the station calls the phone directly through the SmartPlus app.
- Community or company: management of residents, cards and access from a browser, on your own server or in the Akuvox cloud.
- Existing phone system: the stations use SIP and can call extensions on the PBX.
Access control and lifts
As well as door stations, Akuvox offers access terminals with card, code or facial recognition, a four-door controller and an IP lift controller. With the latter, a visitor can only go to the floor of the home that let them in, and the resident can call the lift when opening the door.
For facial recognition, we inform the community or company of its data protection obligations before enabling it: it needs a legal basis and an alternative must be offered.
Home automation on the same screen
Akuvox Android monitors can run a home control app, so the same screen answers the door and runs the house. For a complete smart home system, akubela, from the same group, offers HyPanel touch panels with a Zigbee gateway for lights, blinds, locks and sensors, and KNX-compatible versions.

Frequently asked questions
Can I open the door from my phone when I am away?
Yes, with the SmartPlus app and the Akuvox cloud service. You answer the video call, open the door and receive alerts. The cloud service is subscription-based.
Does the old intercom cable have to be replaced?
Not necessarily. If the building has a two-wire door entry system, Akuvox’s 2-wire system reuses that cable for video and data.
Does it work if the internet goes down?
Calls between station and monitor and opening with a card or code work on the local network. Answering and opening from the phone away from home depends on the internet.
Does it integrate with cameras and the phone system?
Yes. The stations use SIP, the IP telephony standard, and the monitors can show IP cameras as well as the door station.
