Industrial machine automation
We automate and modernise machines and production lines: programming of PLCs and operator panels (HMI), variable speed drives, sensors, control panels and remote monitoring. The aim is for the machine to produce more consistently, with fewer stops and with data to base decisions on.
Domotica Valencia automates industrial machinery in Valencia, Spain: it programs PLCs and operator panels (HMI), installs variable speed drives, sensors and control panels, modernises machines with obsolete controls and connects them for remote monitoring. It works with machine builders, production companies and maintenance departments, and hands over electrical drawings and the documented program.
Who it is for
- Production companies with their own machines or lines
- Machine builders that need the control system
- Maintenance departments
- Process engineering firms
What is included
PLC programming
Sequences, recipes, alarms and manual and automatic modes.
Operator panels
Clear HMIs for the operator, with alerts, parameters and history.
Drives
Variable speed drives and starters for motors, pumps and fans.
Control panels
Design, wiring and electrical drawings of the panel.
Sensors and communications
Detectors, probes and industrial buses such as Modbus.
Remote monitoring
Machine status, counters and alarms on a dashboard or phone.
The work we carry out
| Work | What it involves | When it makes sense |
|---|---|---|
| New automation | Complete control of a machine or line: PLC, panel, drives and cabinet | New machines or processes that are manual today |
| Retrofit | Replacing an obsolete control while keeping the mechanics | Machines that work but no longer have spares or support |
| Process improvement | Program changes, new recipes, sensors or safeguards | Product changes or recurring quality problems |
| Data capture | Counters, run and stop times, consumption and alarms | When you need to measure before investing |
| Remote monitoring | Status dashboard and alerts, with secure access | Machines without continuous supervision or on several sites |
Modernising a machine instead of replacing it
Many machines have sound mechanics and a control system that has run out of spares: a discontinued PLC, a panel no longer made or relays that are impossible to diagnose. Replacing only the control usually costs a fraction of a new machine and restores spare-part availability, fault diagnosis and the option to connect it.
Before proposing it we review the machine, whatever documentation exists and the current program if it can be recovered, and plan the change for a short stop.
Machine safety
Safety functions such as emergency stops, guards and light curtains are handled separately from production control and with dedicated safety components. If a modification affects the safety of the machine, its conformity assessment may need to be reviewed. We tell you before starting, so the decision is made with that information.
How we run the project
- Process analysis with production and maintenance: what the machine must do and what fails today.
- Functional specification agreed in writing before programming.
- Electrical design, panel building and programming.
- Dry-run tests and commissioning with product, alongside your operators.
- Handover of drawings, commented program and backup, plus training.
- Ongoing support, on site or over a secure remote connection.
Frequently asked questions
Which PLC brands do you work with?
It depends on the project and on what your plant already has installed, because it is wise to keep one family of equipment and spares. We settle it at the site survey.
Can you work on another manufacturer’s machine?
Yes, if documentation is available or can be drawn up on site. We first review the drawings, the program and the manufacturer’s warranty conditions.
Do you hand over the PLC program?
Yes. We hand over the commented program, the electrical drawings and a backup, so your maintenance does not depend on us.
Can the machine be connected to view production data?
Yes. We collect counters, run and stop times, alarms and consumption and show them on a dashboard. The connection uses a separate network with protected access.

Retrofit a machine or replace it
A machine with sound mechanics and a control system without spares always raises the same question. This guide gives criteria for deciding without relying on generic figures.

A PLC can run for twenty years without failing. The problem comes the day it fails and there is no spare, no program and nobody who knows it.
