Networks with MikroTik
MikroTik offers routers, switches, access points and wireless links running RouterOS, a very complete system for those who need fine control of the network. We install and configure it in businesses, shops, farms and homes in Valencia.
Domotica Valencia installs and configures MikroTik equipment: RouterOS routers for firewalling, WireGuard VPNs between sites and for remote work, dual internet with 4G or 5G backup, VLAN network separation, CRS and CSS switches, access points with CAPsMAN central management and point-to-point wireless links between buildings.

When we choose MikroTik
If the goal is WiFi that is very easy to manage from an app, we usually propose Omada or Ruijie Reyee; MikroTik sits well alongside them as the main router.
- When a VPN between sites or for remote work is needed without paying licences.
- To combine fibre and 4G or 5G with automatic failover.
- In networks with many VLANs, firewall rules or routes.
- For wireless links on farms, warehouses or building sites.
A well-configured network
- RouterOS updated and default access changed.
- Administration only from the internal network or via VPN, never exposed to the internet.
- Configuration backups and network documentation.
- Monitoring and alerts if a line or device goes down.
Frequently asked questions
Is MikroTik hard to use?
RouterOS is very powerful and so has more options than a home router. We configure and document it; you do not need to touch it day to day.
Does it need licences?
MikroTik devices include their RouterOS licence. The virtual CHR version has its own speed-based licensing.
Can it be combined with other access points?
Yes. It is common to use MikroTik as router and firewall with another brand’s access points, such as Omada, Ruijie or Ubiquiti.

Site-to-site VPN and remote access
A business with two offices, a warehouse or staff at home needs everyone to reach the same resources without opening the network to the internet. That is what a VPN is for.

If the fibre goes down, many businesses stop: card terminal, bookings, phone system or cameras. A second connection stops an operator fault from becoming a lost day.
