Automation of industrial buildings and logistics warehouses
We automate industrial buildings, warehouses and logistics centres: lighting, ventilation, doors and loading bays, energy use, security and data network, designed as one project and supervised from a dashboard. Less wasted energy, fewer inspection rounds and alerts when something fails.
Domotica Valencia automates industrial buildings, warehouses and logistics centres in Valencia, Spain: zoned lighting with presence detection, ventilation and climate control, doors and loading bays, energy metering by line or panel, perimeter video surveillance, access control for people and vehicles, industrial WiFi and public address. Everything is supervised from one dashboard with alerts and handed over documented.
Who it is for
- Production buildings and workshops
- Warehouses and logistics centres
- Food industry and cold rooms
- Developers and engineering firms for industrial buildings
What is included
Lighting
Switching by zone, presence and daylight, with schedules per shift.
Ventilation and climate
Extraction, fans and climate control by temperature, air quality and schedule.
Doors and bays
Status and operation of sectional doors, high-speed doors and loading bays.
Energy
Electrical metering by panel or line, and water or compressed air if required.
Security
Perimeter cameras with analytics, alarm and access control for people and vehicles.
Network and communications
Fibre and cabling, WiFi for warehouse terminals and public address.
What is controlled in an industrial building
| System | How it is automated | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Lighting | Zones, presence and daylight sensors, schedules per shift | No lighting of aisles or areas without activity |
| Ventilation and climate | Temperature and air-quality probes, schedules | Stable working conditions with lower consumption |
| Doors and bays | Status contacts and operation from the system | Knowing what is open and avoiding heat or cold losses |
| Energy | Analysers in panels and lines | Allocating consumption by section and spotting peaks |
| Temperature and humidity | Probes with continuous logging and alerts | Protecting product and keeping records |
| Security and access | Cameras, number-plate reading, barriers and readers | Controlling who enters and watching the perimeter |
One screen for the whole building
Usually each installation in the building has its own control: one panel for the lights, another for extraction, an app for the cameras and a timer for irrigation or the compressor. Unifying supervision lets you see the status of everything from the office or a phone, set schedules per shift and be alerted when a breaker trips, a temperature rises or a door is left open.
How we work in an industrial building
- Visit and survey: panels, circuits, existing installations and how each shift works.
- Phased proposal, starting with what saves most or prevents most incidents.
- Installation coordinated with production, in planned stops or outside shifts.
- We are a licensed low-voltage electrical installer: we also carry out the associated electrical work.
- Commissioning, staff training and documentation: drawings, signal list and programming.
New buildings and buildings in operation
In a new building it is best to define the control during design, with the engineers, to plan containment, panels and network. In a building in operation we build on what exists: meters, sensors and control modules are added to existing panels, and long-range wireless communications are used where running cable is not worthwhile.
Frequently asked questions
Can a building be automated without stopping production?
In most cases, yes. Work is done by zone, and tasks that require isolating a panel are kept for planned stops.
What saving is achieved on lighting?
It depends on the type of luminaire, the hours of use and the real occupancy of each zone. We estimate it with your data before presenting the proposal, without generic figures.
Can you connect to existing machinery and equipment?
Yes, when the equipment offers signals or a communication protocol such as Modbus. We collect status, alarms and consumption and bring them to the same dashboard.
Do you work with the building’s engineers or contractor?
Yes. We join the project as specialists in control, security and communications and follow their specifications and documentation format.
