Synology NAS installation
We install and configure the Synology ecosystem for businesses and homes in Valencia: NAS servers to store and share files, backups of computers and cloud services, private cloud, family photos and camera recording, all on your own hardware and securely reachable from outside.

- Active Backup for Business: backup of computers, physical and virtual servers, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- Hyper Backup: NAS backup to another NAS, a USB drive or the cloud, with versions and encryption.
- Snapshot Replication: frequent folder snapshots that can be made immutable.
- Synology Drive: file sync across computers and sharing links.
- Synology Photos: automatic phone backup and family albums.
- Surveillance Station: IP camera recording and management.
Drives and compatibility
Synology publishes a compatible-drive list for each model, and some professional ranges only accept validated drives. We choose drives from that list and for the use: NAS drives for files and backups, and surveillance drives when the NAS records cameras continuously.
A secure NAS
- No ports opened to the internet: remote access via VPN or the vendor’s secure services.
- Default admin account disabled and two-step verification.
- DSM and apps kept up to date.
- A copy of the NAS kept off it: a NAS is not its own backup.
Frequently asked questions
Does a NAS replace the cloud?
It can replace a cloud storage service for working on and sharing files, with data on your own device. For backups, combine it with an off-site copy in the cloud or another location.
How many cameras can a Synology NAS record?
It depends on the model. Surveillance Station includes licences for a limited number of cameras and more can be added. We size it from cameras, resolution and days of recording.
Are there licences for backups?
Active Backup for Business and Hyper Backup are included on compatible NAS models with no per-device licences. Cloud services such as Synology C2 have their own subscription.
