A KNX touch panel is chosen by what it must control: in bedrooms a 3.5 to 4.3-inch one acting as thermostat and scene control is enough; at the entrance or living room a 7 to 10-inch panel with IP is better, showing the whole home and acting as door intercom monitor. Iddero and JUNG have models for both.

What to check before buying
- IP connection if you want door intercom, cameras or remote access.
- Door intercom compatibility: the display must support the chosen door station.
- Built-in thermostat if it will control the room’s climate.
- Flush box type and depth required; in refurbishments this is a key detail.
- That the frame design matches the switch range.
