Ruijie Reyee, Omada and Ubiquiti UniFi are ecosystems of WiFi, switches and routers managed together from a controller or the cloud, designed to make the network easy to run. MikroTik stands out as a highly configurable router and firewall, with VPN, dual internet and wireless links, but needs more expertise. Combining a MikroTik router with another brand’s WiFi is common.

How we decide
- If there is already one brand’s equipment in good condition, we usually stay with it.
- For WiFi in many rooms, we prioritise the range of wall access points.
- With several sites, remote work or two internet lines, we consider MikroTik as router.
- Who will manage the network afterwards: if the client, a simple platform is better.
